Tim Hudson gave up three runs on six hits over seven innings Tuesday in a loss to the Pirates.
Hudson struck out two, walked one, and yielded two homers which accounted for all the runs charged to him. Indeed, he pitched pretty well outside Josh Harrison's solo homer in the first and Travis Snider's two-run shot in the following frame. Over his first seven home starts this season, the right-hander went 5-0 with a 2.16 ERA, but he's now lost four straight at AT&T Park. Those numbers are systemic of his overall struggles. Hudson started the year 7-2 with a 1.81 ERA in 13 starts, but entered 1-5 with a 4.40 ERA in his past seven. Hudson toes the rubber against the Mets in New York next week.
