Tim Hudson fell to 4-2 on the season as the Pirates walked off 2-1 winners with two outs in the ninth inning on Tuesday.
Hudson pitched well, holding the Pirates to one run over eight innings. He took the mound for the ninth and appeared to have everything under control after getting Pedro Alvarez to hit into a double play, erasing a lead-off single. But Starling Marte tripled and scored on Ehire Adrianza's fielding error, helping the Pirates walk off 2-1 winners. In 8 2/3 innings, Hudson allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk while striking out five. Hudson still owns an impressive 1.99 ERA and will look to lower it further in his next start on the road against the Dodgers.
