Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (hand) has been shut down for the rest of the regular season with the team being eliminated from playoff contention, according to interim manager Miguel Cairo. Anderson had surgery in August to fix a sagittal-band tear in his left hand and he will end up missing the rest of a disappointing season for the Pale Hose in 2022.
