Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (hip) departed from Fridays game against the Royals due to a sore right hip. Leury Garcia -- who was on the bench in the wake of Nick Madrigals debut -- pinch-hit for Anderson in the seventh and remained in the game at shortstop.
