Tillman will participate in a throwing session Saturday that manager Buck Showalter said could result in an accelerated timetable for his return if it goes well, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Tillman has been rehabbing all offseason from right shoulder bursitis that plagued him during the 2016 season. If he is able to get through Saturday's throwing session without any issues, it could be a sign that he may be able to return to the mound earlier than originally expected.
