Tillman (1-1) allowed four runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out three batters over just five innings during Wednesday's loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty has now allowed 10 runs over his past 15.1 innings with just 11 strikeouts. The underwhelming stretch has him sporting a 4.43 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 6.6 K/9 through his four starts this season. Tillman is capable of stringing together hot streaks, and toeing the rubber for a winning ball team also has value. However, he's a probably best viewed as a matchup-based option, and even then, expectations should be kept in check. Tillman has a daunting matchup against the Yankees on deck.
