Tigers transferred RHP Luis Marte to the 60-day disabled list. It's merely a procedural move as the Tigers wanted to create another open spot on the 40-man roster as they attempt to align themselves for the postseason. Marte is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery in early June.
