Tigers sent RHP Jose Valverde outright to Triple-A Toledo. Not surprisingly, Valverde passed through waivers after being designated for assignment last Friday. He has accepted the assignment to Triple-A and will attempt to keep his career alive, but his days of fantasy relevancy are almost certainly over.
