Tigers recalled LHP Jose Alvarez to Triple-A Toledo. Alvarez will serve as a left-handed reliever behind Drew Smyly and Phil Coke. The 24-year-old has a 6.14 ERA over eight appearances (five starts) with the Tigers this season.
