Tigers recalled LHP Jose Alvarez from Triple-A Toledo. Alvarez has posted a 4.62 ERA and 1.42 WHIP over five starts for the Tigers this season. He'll be used as the second lefty in the bullpen while Phil Coke works things out at Triple-A.
