The Detroit Tigers placed right-hander Matt Manning (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with right shoulder inflammation. The move is retroactive to April 17. In a corresponding move, right-hander Angel De Jesus was recalled from Triple-A Toledo. Manning will miss at least one turn through the rotation, but it remains to be seen if he'll need a lengthy minor league rehab assignment once he resumes throwing.
