Tigers optioned RHP Ryan Perry to Triple-A Toledo. Perry has struggled all season at the major league level, posting an ugly 7.06 ERA and 16/12 K/BB ratio over 21 1/3 innings. He was a reliable set-up man in 2010, so the Tigers are hoping he can find himself in the minors. Al Alburquerque will take his place on the active roster.
