Manning (foot) threw a bullpen session Friday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Manning began throwing off a mound last week for the first time since fracturing his right foot in April and is scheduled to face live hitters next week. He is eligible to return June 12 but could stay on the IL past then for a rehab assignment.
