Thornburg retired the side in order with a strikeout Wednesday against Atlanta for his fourth save.
EDGE Analysis
This has been easily Thornburg's best MLB season, as he's managed to elevate his strikeout rate and lower his WHIP to elite levels, so the payoff of becoming Milwaukee's closer is well deserved. Indeed, he's been especially sharp since the Brewers dealt their top two closing candidates at the deadline. Thornburg has allowed one earned run in his last 17 appearances.
