The Yankees announced Wednesday that surgery has been recommended for Mark Teixeira's right wrist. Teixeira underwent an MRI on Wednesday, after which it was determined that the partially-torn tendon sheath in his wrist has not adequately healed. He's almost certainly headed for season-ending surgery at this point.
