The Yankees and LHP Boone Logan avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.875 million contract.

Logan requested $2.1 million and was offered $1.7 million from the Yankees when arbitration figures were exchanged last Tuesday. It took a little over a week for the two sides to find a middle ground. Logan, 27, will serve as a lefty specialist this year for New York.
