The White Sox hope that Carlos Quentin (shoulder) will be ready to return by this weekend. Quentin, who was diagnosed Sunday with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder, will not play in the two-game series against the Angels, but it sounds like he'll avoid the DL after experiencing improved range of motion. Quentin is batting .255/.341/.501 with 24 homers this season.
