The ruling on Carlos Quentin's appeal of his eight-game suspension could come on Sunday. It's no surprise that Major League Baseball would prefer a quick ruling with the Padres slated to begin a series against the Dodgers on Monday. Quentin was given the day off Saturday after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts Friday. "Carlos has a lot going on right now," Padres manager Bud Black said. "His at-bats weren't great (Friday)."
