Moylan signed a minor league deal with the Royals that included an invitation to spring training, but his response in big league camp was less than stellar. Hammered at times among nine appearances, he allowed eight runs on nine hits and seven walks in 10 innings. However, he managed 11 strikeouts along the way, which will likely spur an organization to take a flyer on the right-handed reliever.
