The Rockies placed Morneau on the 7-day disabled list Saturday with a strained neck and concussion symptoms, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports. Morneau was dinged up making a diving play in Wednesday's game, and he was placed on the disabled list after it was discovered he is dealing with concussion symptoms. He will be eligible to return to action May 21, but he will have to be cleared per the league's concussion protocol before he gets back on the field. Wilin Rosario is getting the first chance to man first base in Morneau's absence.
