The Reds have talked to Homer Bailey about an extension, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's John Fay.

Bailey is only in his second arbitration year, so there's no rush from either side to get something done this offseason. The 26-year-old former top prospect finally met the hype in 2012, posting a 3.68 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 168/52 K/BB ratio across 208 innings. He could really cash in if he's able to improve those numbers in 2013.
