The Red Sox transferred Workman to the 60-day disabled list Wednesday. Workman was moved to the longer disabled list in order to open a spot on the 40-man roster for Alejandro De Aza. He resumed throwing in May and will be eligible to be activated from the disabled list this month, but it remains to be seen when he will be ready to return.
