The Red Sox have sent the MRI on Joel Hanrahan's forearm to specialists Dr. James Andrews and Dr. David Altchek. Hanrahan is in shutdown mode until the two doctors review the MRI and get back to the team, at which point a rehab scheduled will be formulated. The reliever is expected to be on the shelf for a while.
