The Red Sox have cleared David Ortiz to run the bases. If all goes well, he could make his Grapefruit League debut by late next week. Ortiz hasn't had any issues with his right Achilles tendon, but the Red Sox have moved him along slowing in spring training. He remains confident that he'll be ready and in the lineup for Opening Day.
