The Rangers designated Barnes for assignment Tuesday. Barnes has already been part of three organizations in the past month -- he was DFA's by Cleveland, traded to Baltimore then claimed off waivers by the Rangers -- and he'll soon be looking to join a fourth. The 27-year-old turned in a 3.69 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 25 appearances at Triple-A last season, lowering his career numbers at that level to 4.33 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.
