The Pirates will have Josh Harrison play shortstop in the Instructional League this fall. Harrison has played second and third base since making his major-league debut on May 31, and has made zero career appearances at shortstop since being a sixth-round pick in 2008. Batting .265/.276/.359 through his first 190 major league plate appearances and a career .306/.355/.424 minor-league hitter, playing a third position could greatly enhance Harrison's chances of sticking around in the big leagues.
