The Pirates are expected to promote outfielder Alex Presley for the start of an interleague series against the Blue Jays next Tuesday. "Chase has played very well at Indianapolis," said Pirates general manager Neal Huntington. "He has a chance to give us a boost while gaining valuable experience at the major-league level." Presley, 25, is batting .330/.382/.498 with eight homers and 34 RBI over 306 plate appearances with Triple-A Indianapolis this season. Pirates manager Clint Hurdle plans to utilize him with the flexibility of the DH spot next week. Pedro Ciriaco is expected to be sent down to Triple-A in a corresponding roster move.
