The Padres plan to limit Carlos Quentin (knee) early in spring training. Quentin underwent arthroscopic knee surgery at the end of last season and has yet to be cleared for full baseball activities. While there's no timetable for him to make his Cactus League debut, he remains on track to be ready for Opening Day.
