The Padres and Chase Headley have yet to discuss a long-term contract extension, ESPN's Buster Olney reports. Headley stood to get seriously paid after his monster 2012 but lost some money with a subpar 2013 season, as the 29-year-old struggled to a .250/.347/.400 line while hitting just 13 home runs. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reported that the two sides are likely to discuss an extension at some point during the winter meetings, so maybe they just haven't gotten together yet.
