The Orioles have signed Dan Duquette to a three-year deal to become the team's new general manager, according to the Associated Press.
He's expected to be introduced at a press conference on Monday or Tuesday. The 53-year-old has been out of the game since being dismissed by the Red Sox in 2002, but has over 25 years of experience in MLB. Duquette's primary job at the major league level will be fixing the league's worst pitching staff. He won't be doing so under ideal circumstances. The O's have not finished above .500 since 1997 and have not won more than 70 games since 2006.
