The Mets have sent the MRI results on Mike Pelfrey's right elbow to Dr. James Andrews. Pelfrey was placed on the disabled list Tuesday with what was termed as "swelling in his right elbow," but the team believes he may have a partially torn UCL. The 28-year-old right-hander will likely get a couple of options, but season-ending Tommy John surgery appears likely. Chris Schwinden is expected to replace him in the rotation Friday.
