The Mets have pushed Johan Santana's Grapefruit League debut back from March 2 to sometime between March 10-15. The club insists that nothing is structurally wrong with Santana, but rather it's a move made in order to build up strength and conditioning. Santana is currently long-tossing and doesn't feel any pain, but general manager Sandy Alderson admitted that the left-hander's availability for Opening Day is now in question.
