The Mets appear to be on the verge of recalling Matz from Triple-A Las Vegas, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports. The Mets haven't confirmed anything of the sort, and the rumors have been going around for awhile, but this time something appears to be materializing. Matz has pitched extremely well at Triple-A Las Vegas, posting a 2.19 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 94 strikeouts over 90.1 innings this season. The club would have to make a corresponding move to add him, but there's been talks of a potential trade that could open up a spot.
