The Marlins placed Locke (biceps) on the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Locke was unable to secure an Opening Day bullpen gig with the big club after a bout with biceps tendinitis shelved him for much of spring training. The lefty has recently resumed mound work and could start pitching in minor-league games in the near future, so it appears he's not in line for an extended absence. Once he's activated from the DL, Locke will either work in long relief for the Marlins or potentially serve in a starting role at Triple-A New Orleans.
