The Marlins have demoted Kevin Slowey to the bullpen. Slowey is clearing the way for the return of Nathan Eovaldi to the rotation. "Slowey's going to be kind of that swing man, that long guy, to come in and throw multiple innings," said manager Mike Redmond. "That'll be how it goes now for a while." Slowey got off to a great start this season but has posted a 7.08 ERA over his last seven appearances. Tom Koehler will remain in the rotation for now, but Henderson Alvarez is due back soon.
