The Mariners are hopeful that Ackley (ankle) will be able to play Friday, the Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton reports. He will miss his fourth straight game Wednesday, but it sounds like the Mariners are optimistic he'll be back this weekend. In the meantime, Chris Denorfia should see most of the starts in left field.
