The Indians are hoping that Josh Tomlin (wrist) won't require a rehab assignment before rejoining the rotation. Tomlin threw a 30-pitch bullpen session before Tuesday's game and hasn't had any issues in his recovery to this point. He's eligible for activation from the DL on Wednesday, but he seems unlikely to be ready to return before next week.
