The Cubs are expected to activate Ian Stewart (quad) from the disabled list and option him to Triple-A Iowa. Stewart's rehab window has run out, and while his quad is no longer an issue, his bat is. The third baseman has just four hits in 44 at-bats during his rehab assignment, so he'll continue to try to figure things out against minor league pitching. Luis Valbuena and Cody Ransom will continue to share time at the hot corner for the Cubs.
