The Cardinals and RHP Kyle McClellan avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. McClellan, 27, posted a 4.19 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 141 2/3 innings last year, serving as both a starter and reliever. He's expected to work in long relief in 2012.
