The Brewers confirmed that Lucroy was removed from Monday's game against the Reds due to a left foot injury, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
As was suggested earlier, Lucroy likely sustained the injury when his foot was struck by a foul ball in the sixth inning. There's still no definitive word on the extent of the injury, so Lucroy will retain a day-to-day tag until manager Ron Roenicke updates his condition. Martin Maldonado stepped in to replace Lucroy on Monday and would assume primary backstop duties for the Brewers if the injury sidelines the All-Star catcher for future contests.
