The Blue Jays are targeting A's lefty Gio Gonzalez, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. According to Slusser, the Athletics seek "at least two high-value prospects and a few mid-range prospects" in exchange for the 26-year-old left-hander. The Blue Jays have one of the deepest farm systems in the game, but it's unclear whether they will be willing to give up more than one of their top prospects in a potential deal. The Rangers, Nationals, Tigers, Diamondbacks, Royals, Marlins, Reds and Yankees have also expressed some degree of interest in the lefty. Gonzalez is under team control through 2015. The southpaw posted a 3.12 ERA and 1.32 WHIP while striking out 197 batters over 202 innings this past season.
