Nimmo has tested positive for COVID-19, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Nimmo wasn't in the lineup for Friday's home opener against the Diamondbacks and will need to spend some time away from the team following his positive test. He's asymptomatic, but a timetable for his return isn't yet clear. Travis Jankowski is starting in center field Friday and should see additional playing time while Nimmo is sidelined.
