Tepesch was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Triple-A Rochester on Sunday due to a right elbow impingement, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The Twins haven't permanently settled on Kyle Gibson and Adalberto Mejia as their Nos. 4 and 5 starters while Phil Hughes (shoulder) remains out, but Tepesch likely won't be under consideration to replace either pitcher in the rotation anytime soon while he tends to the elbow issue. Yohan Pino was recalled from Double-A Chattanooga to take Tepesch's spot on the Rochester roster.
