Tejada is out of the Mets' lineup Thursday against the Nationals, Newsday's Marc Carig reports. Tejada will ride the pine for the third time in nine games, with Wilmer Flores drawing another start at short for the Mets. The 24-year-old Tejada has followed up a dismal month of July (.616 OPS) by recording just two hits in his first 18 at-bats of August, but manager Terry Collins has given no indication that he's planning to turn the position over to Flores full-time.
