Teixeira's absence from the lineup is indeed related to the prior leg issue, Sweeny Murti of Sportsradio 66 WFAN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Teixeira has been out of the lineup for a long period of time due to the bone bruise, and it appears the issue acted up again following his return to the lineup Tuesday. Manager Joe Girardi said he hopes that he'll return to the lineup Friday, but it likely will come down to how well he feels at that time.
