Teixeira is out of the lineup Thursday, the YES Network's Meredith Marakovits reports. While Teixeira is sitting just slightly above the Mendoza Line (.204), he has five home runs and four doubles in 49 at-bats, and seemingly has as much power as ever. The batting average is likely to leave a lot to be desired, but players who can potentially hit 30 homers in a season are difficult to find in the current run-scoring environment.
