Teixeira took a foul ball off his foot in Saturday's matchup, and although the X-rays came back negative, it's not too surprising to see the veteran sit this one out as a precaution. Even though nothing serious has been reported, consider Teixeira day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener against Baltimore. In the meantime, Rob Refsnyder will man first base in his stead.
