For the second straight day, Teixeira will give way at first base to the newly-promoted Tyler Austin, who homered Saturday in his MLB debut. Like Alex Rodriguez before him, Teixeira looks to be the next underperforming veteran in line for a significantly reduction in at-bats as the Yankees transition to a youth movement. Look for Austin to dominate the playing time at first base so long as he hits reasonably well enough.
