Teixeira is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against the Orioles, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports. Teixeira, who's batting just .182/.282/.314 since the All-Star break, will be afforded a rest after 15 straight starts. Brian McCann will take over at first base in his absence.
