Taylor homered twice off Justin Verlander in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers. While it's hard to say whether the performance says more about Taylor or Verlander, it is a very encouraging sign for the center fielder, who should see regular at-bats while Denard Span recovers from core muscle surgery. Given Taylor's strikeout issues, don't expect him to be be an asset in batting average, but he could supply some power and speed as a late round sleeper.
